Asking the question why do prices rise is the main way we believe it is possible to open a dialogue with people who have never really thought about money. From there, in some cases, the conversation can eventually reach Bitcoin.
The idea is to inspire Bitcoiners to ask this question more often, in many different places. Whenever possible, to ask this question. That is the objective of this project.
The project also has a website with guided paths that people can follow. These paths already exist, are available in multiple languages and continue to be used by people who want to understand more.
Now, we are creating a documentary.
It will be a global documentary, recorded in different countries, asking people this same question. We are already recording the first documentary. It is being recorded in Brazil, in Portuguese, with English subtitles.
To make this possible, we are launching, in partnership with the Geyser Fund, an all-or-nothing crowdfunding campaign. The campaign will start on the 19th.
We hope people will support the realization of this project, because the intention is to interview hundreds and possibly thousands of people, always asking the same simple question.
Why do prices rise?
Nothing more than that.
People answer. In some cases, the conversation continues and goes deeper. In other cases, we simply listen to the initial answer and then direct the person to the website so they can understand more if they want to.
Education, adoption and understanding the problem that Bitcoin solves are the base of our work. They are also the base of adoption itself. A consistent adoption, grounded in understanding, independent of price volatility in fiat currency.
That is why it is important to take this question to more people. Even in the very first recordings and interviews, it already became clear that although rising prices affect everyone’s lives, people barely think about it.
Everything starts with a simple question.
