The enemy, whether that’s centralized platforms, financial censors, or state surveillance apparatuses, cannot ban what they never permissioned in the first place. They cannot deplatform what never required their platform for existence. This represents asymmetric resistance through architectural sovereignty.

Nostr users function identically. Every note published, every relay connected to, every interaction executed bypasses the entire legacy communication infrastructure. No corporate servers decide whether your message gets delivered.

Bitcoin identified the target: centralized financial control, permissioned systems, institutional gatekeeping over human value exchange. Strategic clarity matters, but identifying a target means nothing without operational capacity. Without boots on the ground.

Make no mistake: the core principles of Bitcoin self-custody, censorship-resistance and privacy are under attack. But the Bitcoin community possesses a unique advantage that will ultimately allow us to prevail: not only do we have skin in the game, we have soul in the game.

We are on the cusp of a fundamental civilizational change. The global debt-fueled fiat ponzi is imploding right before our eyes.

Bitcoin is at the center of a spiritual war between forces of corruption and forces of liberation. There is a higher power that calls us to become the resistance.

We do it because we as sovereign individuals cannot live in isolation and we all benefit from the success of our communities. We do it because we want our kids to grow up in a world that is free from the evils of Fiat currency. May our children never suffer the corruption of participating in a socialist economic system that steals their time and their wealth by the simple fact of interacting with fiat currency.

We do it because we love Bitcoin. We believe in the ideology of Bitcoin, its underlying cypherpunk and free market principles.

I'm also heavily involved in a community circular economy project in Costa Rica called Bitcoin Jungle. We spend countless hours to educate locals, set merchants up with Bitcoin point of sales, and build the infrastructure necessary for Bitcoin to thrive as a medium of exchange in even the most rural areas. All of this we do for free, and in fact it we pay for it out of pocket!

If we wanted to take the easy path, we wouldn't have spent years building open-source software that lets any business run their own self-hosted Bitcoin wallet API infrastructure connected directly to their own Bitcoin, Lightning and Liquid network nodes. We would have just done a deal with Coinbase or another third party to take care of the Bitcoin engineering on our behalf.

Doing Bitcoin the right way is hard.

### Homegrown software I believe software in the future will be grown, not written. LLM's and the tools we connect to it will not go away and we're seeing early signs of how future software development will look.

It is social, organic, it's how we've operated as humans for millennia. It's incredibly fascinating that we've been able to recreate this Web of Trust in the digital world. It's the filter that protects us from overwhelm of inputs and if needed, from each-other.

## Working with nature  Instead of working against nature we should see it's patterns and adapt to it. Don't build a pumping system if you can divert the river and let part of it flow your way.

It is in this simplicity that I see natural patterns emerge. For example, I don't think it's a coincidence that Nostr works in streams, it's a natural pattern that is most efficient and occurs in nature all the fucking time.
